The opening tee shot at Dalu Dunes requires a well struck drive to carry a large blowout bunker on the left side of the fairway or a meticulously placed punch through the dunes. The ideal position is on the right side of the fairway just short of the bunker. With a helping side-hill lie, a right to left ball flight into the green is helpful for working shots to a back left pin position while trying avoiding a large hump at the front of the green.
